Omaha, NE – StrategicHelathSolutions, LLC (Strategic), a partner in the government’s initiative to prevent fraud, waste and abuse in its national health insurance programs, recently received its certification as a Women’s Business Enterprise (WBE) by the Women’s Business Development Center of Chicago, a regional partner of the Women’s Business Enterprise National Council (WBENC).
The world-class certification process requires an in-depth review of business documentation and a site inspection to ensure the business is at least 51% owned, operated, controlled, and managed by a woman or women.
Having recently outgrown its classification with the Small Business Administration (SBA) as a Small Woman Owned Business (SWOB), Strategic sought out the WBENC certification to reaffirm that although the company is no longer small, it is woman owned.
“I am proud to own such a successful business and feel a great responsibility to inspire future women entrepreneurs,” said Peg Stessman, the founder and Chief Executive Officer of Strategic. “I see this certification as a way to celebrate Strategic’s achievements and to recognize the significant economic impact women make in this country.”
Founded in 1997, WBENC is the nation’s leader in women’s business development and the leading third-party certifier of businesses owned and operated by women, with more than 13,000 certified Women’s Business Enterprises, 14 national Regional Partner Organizations, and over 300 Corporate Members. More than 1,000 corporations representing America’s most prestigious brands as well as many states, cities, and other entities accept WBENC Certification. For more information, visit www.wbenc.org.
